Carmelo Anthony on Buying Puerto Rico FC

Last summer, Carmelo Anthony became the new owner of Puerto Rico FC, an expansion team that will begin play in the North American Soccer League in 2016.

While the team's first regular season game is still three weeks away—a home game against the Indy Eleven in Bayamón's Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium on July 2—, Puerto Rico FC plays a friendly against the Puerto Rican National Team this Saturday at St. Johns University.

On Friday, Complex News paid a visit to Puerto Rico FC's practice and snagged a few minutes with the team's new owner. For more on why 9x NBA All Star Carmelo Anthony bought a professional soccer team and what he hopes to accomplish, check out the video above.
